I Married the Mafia Boss in a Wheelchair

Sinopsis Drama

Talia Bennett had loved Gavin Cross for five years. Five years ago, she was one of the most promising young painters at the New York Academy of Art. But to become the kind of woman Gavin wanted, Talia gradually gave up her career, changed her personality, and reshaped her entire life around him. In return, all she earned as a reputation among New York's elite as reckless, unstable, and hopelessly obsessed with Gavin. When Gavin eventually grew tired of her, he fell for Sienna Cole— a younger, innocent- looking woman who bore a striking resemblance to the Talia he had first met five years earlier. Even after ending their engagement, Gavin remained certain that Talia would eventually come back to him. What no one knew was that the Bennett family was already on the verge of bankruptcy. Desperate for money and protection from the powerful Moretti family, Talia's father, Harold Bennett, planned to marry off her nineteen-year-old younger sister, Maya. The intended groom was Ronan Moretti, the wheelchair-using mafia boss whose name alone was enough to intimidate the entire East Coast underworld. Determined to protect her sister-and finally break free from years of her father's control- Talia volunteers to take Maya's place. She expects nothing more than a marriage of convenience. Instead, she discovers that Ronan is nothing like the ruthless, merciless man described in the rumors. He never forces her into anything. For the first time in years, someone gives Talia back the right to make her own choices. Just as Talia decides to go through with the marriage, Gavin calls and orders her to return, arrogantly offering her one "last chance." For the first time, Talia refuses to give in. She hangs up the phone-and kisses Ronan first. Three days later, Talia and Ronan quietly make their marriage official. It is not until their public wedding that Gavin finally realizes the woman he believed would never be able to live without him has become Ronan Moretti's bride.
